After visiting Grossmünster church,I went to Dolderbahn and ride on the cable car. It brought me up to the hill, where Dolder Grand Hotel is located, and from there, I can enjoy a panaromic view of Zurich city. (More on Dolderbhan)

Entrance of Dolderbahn
I just spent an hour there, as I couldn’t find much attractions on the hill. Perhaps, I should visit the zoo nearby but it might be too late after that. It was still early to go for dinner, and I decided to visit Globus, one of the famous department store in Switzerland.

I visited several places on the second day of my stay in Zurich, including Switzerland National Museum, Chinese Garden Zurich, Lake of Zurich, and Grossmünster Church. After having my breakfast, I bought a day pass for 8.00 CHF and went out to the city center by tram. Zurich is famous for its highly efficient, clean and safe public transport system. It is quite convenient to travel around the city with public transport. First, I paid a visit to Switzerland National Museum, located near to Hauptbahnhof, the main train station.

Switzerland National Museum
The entrance fee cost me around 10 CHF, and I spent about 2 hours there. Yeah, after this, I took the tram down to Chinese Garden Zurich, but unfortunately the meseum was closed for maintainence. Even though, it is still worth to spend your time here with the fantastic scenary .You can have a leisure walk here, to refresh your mind and free yourself from stress.

I spent one of my weekend in Zürich (Switzerland), as this city was relatively near to Milan. It took me around 4 hours to reach there by Cisalpino train, passing by Swiss mountains, villages, lakes, rivers, streams and hilly areas. Yeah, the view of Swiss countryside was so excellent, just like a paradise. The scenery along the journey was so fascinating and breathtaking, yet the calming and relaxing surroundings were like a remedy to your stress. I wish I could visit this place again.

Castello Sforzesco (English: Sforza Castle) is one of the remarkable landmarks in MIilan, Italy. The orginal construction of this building began in the 14th century, and Francesco Sforza, the founder of Sforza Dynasty in Milan strated the reconsturction in year 1450. In 19th century, the restoration of the castle was strated following its transfer from military use to the city of Milan. It was directed by Luca Beltrami, a famous Italian architect and architectural historian, known particularly for restoration works. Unfortunately, the castle was severely damnaged during World War II and the post-war reconstruction of the building was undertaken by BBPR architectural partnership. Now, the building is used to accomodate several city’s musuem and art gallery collections.
Since the building is situated at the city center, it is quite easy to reach there by public transport. You can try the following routes, which were quite convenient to me.
- Subway: MM1 Cairoli - Castello Station
- Streetcars: Line 4 (last stop towards Duomo direction)
