After raining heavily for the past two days, it was a cloudy day on 8th June 2008. It was a lovely Sunday too. We decided to visit Tsim Sha Tsui, the major tourist hub in Hong Kong, with many shops and restaurants established there.

There are a lot of musuems in Tsim Sha Tsui but we did not visit them on that day. It would be quite crowded if we visit these places on weekends and it would be free admission on Wednesday for these musuems.

After that, we took ferry to Wan Chai and walked to Tai Yuen Street (太原街), one of the well known street markets in Hong Kong. It was a typical street market, similar to Ladies Street and Temple Street. Check out more from this post. Yes, you can go to Kam Fung Restaurant here to try their egg tarts. :)

We walked down to Central and took our dinner at Cafe de Coral before going to Lan Kwai Fong. Oops…before that, we actually went to Central-Mid-Levels escalators, the longest outdoor covered escalatr system in the world. It links Des Voeux Road in Central with Conduit Road in the Mid-levels, passing through narrow streets. Daily traffic exceeds 55,000 people, although originally forecast to transport 27,000, and using it is FOC.
