The Beginning

Yesterday was Valentine Day, the day where couples will celebrate for their relationship. It was named after Christian martyrs Saint Valentine, but later on it was deleted from the Roman calendar of saints. Regardless of the history of Valentine Day, nowadays it is packaged nicely and promoted to the public, and every shop will take this golden opportunity to earn money.

Yeah, it was also the ninth year I celebrate Valentine Day with my loved one, Celine. Nothing special, but still it marks a significant milestone of our love. Due to my odd working hours, we decided to have dinner at Amarin Thai in Midvalley. Thanks for her endurance on this…

The table was well decorated with candles and dried flowers, as I called in to make a reservation for two early in the morning. And out of my expectation, the restaurant also prepared a rose for us.Great!!!  

Then, I looked into the Valentine Set which consists of appetizer, soup, 4 main courses, dessert and drinks. Wow, the price is RM 128.00++ for 2 pax, what a good deal. Unfortunately, we came in too late and the set was not available anymore. So, we just randomly chose few dishes from the menu. Don’t be late if you want a good deal!!!

And the best part is, the Captain offered me a 10% discount when I paid for the bill. I think Amarin Thai deserved a 9/10 rating from me.

Fong Lye Restaurant should be one of the popular restaurants in Midvalley Shopping Mall, as it is usually packed and crowded. Customers always have to take a number and wait for the long queue. Recently, I went to this Taiwanese restaurant for twice and got the chance to try out the delicacies there.

I bumped into the follwoing video clip from Facebook, and it really triggers my mind why vegetarian is now a growing trend. If you watch the video below, you can see how animals are killed or slaughtered and supplied to the food market.  So, try to change your diet to be a vegetarian, and bear in mind that, meat is not the only source of protein.
