Le Meridien, Cyberport

31st of August is the independence day of Malaysia…

However, I am not there but in Hong Kong again on an assignment. This would be the consecutive year that I am celebrating Hari Merdeka in overseaas. Last year, I was in Korea for my industrail training.

Currently, I am staying in Le Meridien hotel, located at Cyberport, as this would be the naererst hotel to my office. It is a very nice hotel, equipped with various facilities. However, this place is quite far away from the town center, as it takes about 30 minutes to reach Causeway Bay.

Rainy Days

It was raining haevily on 6th of June and 7th of June…

It was hard to move around as it rained heavily. We had no options but visit to the shopping malls in Central Area and Causeway Bay. So, we went to Central Plaza before going to Causeway Bay. We had our lunch at Kam Fung Restaurant, and their egg tarts are delicious.

Then, we took a tram to Causeway Bay and visited several shopping centres, including Times Square and Sogo. The shopping malls were so crowded even though it was raining heavily…

A day in Hong Kong Disneyland

This was our third day in Hong Kong, and we planned to spend one whole day in Hong Kong Disneyland. It is the fifth Disneyland style park, located on reclaimed land in Penny’s Bay, Lantau Island. The park opened to visitors in September 2005, after years of negotiations and construction. After having our breakfast in a coffee shop, we went to the theme park with MTR. The place is quite far from the town center, we took the MTR at MongKok Station and switched to several lines at certain stations before reaching Disneyland. We still managed to reach there around 11am despite of the long journey.

We bought our tickets at the entrance which costs about HKD 350. The theme park is actually divided into several themed areas, including Main street USA, Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland. But the classic Frontierland is missing, but it might be built in the future.
