Victoria Peak

After visiting Western Market, we walked to the lower Peak Tram terminus, which is located at Central. We bought a combo package offered by . It was a 3-in-1 combo package, which consists of the return ticket for Peak Tram and also the admission to the museum and Sky Terrace. The terminal was quite crowded as everyone was heading to the upper Peak Tram station.

It took us about 8 minutes to reach the summit of Victoria Peak, or known as The Peak locally. This is the biggest tourist attraction in Hong Kong, with seven millions visitors every year. For this reason, two major leisure and shopping centres, the Peak Tower and Peak Galleria were built to accommodate the large flock of tourists.

We planned to take the 3km circular hike around the Peak Circuit. It was awesome as we can enjoy the spectacular views of Hong Kong island and Victoria Harbors while strolling around the path. You might stand a chance to meet with Tony Leong here :) We actually met someone similar but too bad none of us can recognize him… Can someone prove it ? hahaha :D

Western Market @ Hong Kong

A brand new day in Hong Kong… :)

our Breakfast~~

After having our breakfast, we planned to visit both Western Market and The Peak (Victoria Peak). We took a bus to Sheung Wan terminal, and walked to Western Market before going to The Peak. This is the oldest structures in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong Island. It was built in year 1906, and operated as a food market until year 1988. It was declared as a historical monument, and after the renovation, the building was re-opened as Western Market.

Then, we decided to walk from Western Market to the lower Peak Tram Terminus, which is located at Central (中环). Luckily, it was a cloudy day and the weather was just nice to walk around. We took the chance to explore the area and of course snapped some photos of the scenery.

At Sheung Wan’s MTR Station

It took us about an hour of ferry ride to reach Sheung Wan (上环), Hong Kong Terminal. Then, we rushed to the nearest MTR station and took a train to Mongkok (旺角). When we reached there, it was about 12.30am. We checked in to Ah Shan hostel, which was recommended by Daniel. The place is clean, and well-equipped with various facilities, including TV, air-conditioner, hot shower, and refrigerator. We were happy and enjoy with that environment, and yet it is cheap too. Thanks a lot to Daniel.
